Lever privacy policy
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Lever ("the app") is made by Tidy Merchant. It changes many products in a Shopify store at once, at the merchant's request, and can undo those changes. This policy explains what data the app uses and why.
What the app reads and changes
The app reads and changes the store's products: titles, descriptions, tags, vendor, product type, status, SEO fields, collections, product metafields, and variant prices, compare-at prices, costs, SKUs, barcodes, weights and selling and tax settings. It changes only the products and fields the merchant picks for an edit. It does not read or change orders, customers or stock quantities.
What the app stores
- The store's Shopify domain and the access token Shopify issues when the app is installed.
- Each bulk edit the merchant runs: the filter and changes they chose, and for every value the edit changed, the product and variant id and title, the field, and its value before and after. This is what makes undo possible.
- The plan the store is on, and usage events such as install, edit run and uninstall.
The app does not store customer or order data, or payment details. Shopify handles all billing.
Why
Only to make the changes the merchant asks for, to show them what changed, and to undo it when they ask.
Where it is processed
On servers in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH). Database backups are kept in Cloudflare R2 (Western Europe). These providers process the data only to host it for us. We do not sell or share the data.
How long
Edit history is kept for 7 days on the Free plan and 180 days on Pro, then deleted. When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify asks us 48 hours later to delete the store's data, and the app deletes it. Backups containing it expire within 60 days.
Your requests
